We run driving events solely for Land Rover based vehicles.  Some events are not suitable for Freelanders.  We do accept certain non Land Rover built vehicles, provided they are based on the same construction as a Land Rover, for example the Santana, Dakar and Ibex.  Contact us if you're not sure whether your vehicle would qualify for entry.

Our green lane events are guided tours, led by an experienced guide in our guide vehicle.  Customers simply 'tag along' in their own Land Rover in a small group, following the guide vehicle.  These events follow a pre-planned and verified route along public rights of way.  Each of the trails is linked by tarmac roads, so you will not be off road all of the time.  All our routes however are planned to keep us away from major roads, and offer the most scenic drive available.  Your guide is on hand to give advice and instruction at any parts of the route that are a little more 'technical' to drive.

Cost for events is per vehicle, regardless of the number of occupants, and based on the customer using their own Land Rover.  Follow the link from our homepage to find out about attending one of our events using our fully equipped vehicle.

All drivers will be required to complete a disclaimer/indemnity form before commencement of the event.

Green lanes are roads.  All vehicles must be road legal, and insured for use by whoever is to drive on the event.  Any passengers must be legally seated in the vehicle.

All drivers and passengers participate in the event at their own risk, and safety is the responsibility of the individual.

Customers should note, that whilst our routes are researched and generally will be non damaging, some scratches to paintwork from overhanging branches is common when driving on unsurfaced routes.  If you are not wanting to get your vehicle scratched, speak to us about the most suitable events.

Customers should also be aware, that as our routes generally follow trails in rural areas, toilet facilities are few are far between.  Some events do not pass by any toilet facilities at all.

In the event of a breakdown, we will try to assist, but an event cannot be held up indefinitely.  If the vehicle cannot be repaired, we will do our best to get you to a recoverable position, but the responsibility of getting your vehicle recovered remains with the driver/owner.

ukLANDROVERevents may need to alter the routes and/or the itinerary if outside factors dictate.

Bookings & Payment

The entry fee for each event is listed on our website.  There are 3 ways to book a place, and pay your entry fee.

Online:  A booking can be made by completing the booking form on our website, and paying by credit/debit card through the secure Google Checkout.  We use Google Checkout as it is a very secure payment processing system.  In fact, we never actually get to see your credit card details ourselves, as they are safely stored in your Google Account.  A Google Account is required to use this payment method, but you can sign up for one for free during the checkout process.

By Post:  A booking can be made by completing and printing the booking form from our website, and posting it to us with a cheque for the entry fee.  Cheques are to be made payable to 'ukLANDROVERevents'.

By Phone:  A booking can be made over the phone, by giving us your details, and those of your vehicle.  You will then need to post us a cheque for the entry fee.  Cheques are to be made payable to 'ukLANDROVERevents'.  Credit card payments cannot be accepted over the telephone.

If an event is marked as 'Fully Booked' on our website, you will be given the option of adding your name to a list of reserves, in case we get any cancellations.  In the event of a cancellation, we will work through our reserve list in the order they were added to the list, giving the opportunity to book the newly available place.  By adding yourself to our reserve list you are under no obligation to take up the place if/when offered.

For single day events, when you add yourself to the reserve list, you will be given the option of telling us whether you'd be available for a Saturday running of the event.  If any event is over subscribed, and enough customers are available on the Saturday, we may run the event for the reserves on the Saturday.

Entrants who, for circumstances beyond their control, need to cancel a booking for a particular event may, on condition of them advising us more than a fortnight before the event, move their booking to a later event at no charge.  This credit must however be used within 12 months of the original booking.  Cancellations by entrants within the fortnight preceding the event will not be eligible for rescheduling to another event, unless the place can be resold by us.

If for any reason any event has to be cancelled by us, full refunds will be given.

Gift Vouchers are sold with a specific period of validity, usually 12 months from date of purchase.  These dates are set, and expired vouchers no longer hold any value.  It is the responsibility of the voucher holder to ensure that the voucher is redeemed before it's expiry date.  Should a voucher holder, for whatever reason, not be able to use their voucher prior to the expiry date, ukLANDROVERevents may agree (after a request by email/in writing) to allow the voucher to be transferred to somebody else for them to use.  If this is authorised, the same terms and conditions, and the same expiry date will still apply.  It is the responsibility of the purchaser to ensure that terms and condition of redemption can be met by the intended recipient (ie ownership of suitable vehicle for Green Lane Tour Vouchers or driving licence validity for 4x4 Experience Day Vouchers).

As well as catering for customers in their own vehicles, we also offer bookings for customers to use our fully prepared Land Rovers.

Customers can use one of our vehicles to join in on one of our guided green lane events.  This is ideal if your own Land Rover is off the road, or if you're wanting to try greenlaning before committing yourself to buying your own vehicle.  This service is subject to availability, and it should be noted that not all routes are suitable for novice off road drivers.

We also offer 4x4 Experience Days, not as part of our guided events.  Groups or individuals can use our fully prepared Land Rover to have a go at off road driving.  Our experienced driver/instructor will be there with you, but you'll be in the driving seat.  For group bookings, the driving can be shared amongst the group.  Visit the '4x4 Experience' page for more details and prices.

Privacy Policy

When accepting bookings, we obviously collect certain information from you.  This includes your personal details, contact information and vehicle details.  We DO NOT share this information with any third parties.  We do collate our own list of email addresses in order to keep you informed of any news regarding us and our events.  This list is made up of people who add themselves to our mailing list on the 'Contact' page of our website, and also any customer who books a place on one of our events.  If at any point you would like to be removed from our email mailing list, just send a blank email to unsubscribe@ukLANDROVERevents.com.
